Favorite & Strangest Family Pics of 2008
I just went through the pictures for the year of 2008 and selected some of my favorites. Some because of the memory behind the photo, some because they just look like a nice photo to me, and some because well they are just plain wacky and make me laugh.
There was quite a few to pick from, and if I went through again I might select a different bunch as my favorites – but there you have it!
2008 Comes to a Close Plus Holiday Photos
Well here we are on the eve of the last day in 2008. Many things have changed, others have remained completely the same – and if history tells us anything 2009 will most likely be an interesting adventure one day at a time. It is amazing to see how the kids grow in just a year, just look at these photos from January this year.

Compared to more recent pictures from this december

Some of the more interesting or notable events in 2008

Well December Just Flew By…
I can’t say that I am surprised though, December always seems to fly by. There is the holidays, Summer & my birthday, and our anniversary all crammed into a few weeks, and then of course Kim’s birthday following shortly behind in January.
So here we are on Christmas Eve, and I finally got around to uploading the images for the month – and to look back on the events that have passed, with a post to follow (hopefully fairly shortly) with all the Christmas photos and fun. Towards the beginning of the month my hours at work were cut down, blame the economy – or blame whatever you want – but we are making the best of it. One side benefit is I have an extra day where I am home with the kids and usually a 3 day weekend to top it off, it also gives me a bit of extra time to work on some things at GamerDNA and 360voice.
This year marked 5 years since that special day in Cancun Mexico that Kim and I went from single to married, who would have thought on that very day that 5 years later we would be sitting with two kids and watching christmas shows and talking about Santa.
Another huge milestone for this month is Oliver (finally) decided it was time to use the potty, and for the most part he has been pretty good at it – only a few accidents, and we still have to overcome a small barrier of him being terrified of public restroom toilets for some reason. Summer even tries to potty train here and there, but shes really imitating him – but she gets lucky sometimes.
Finally December marks the first real snow storm this year – so the kids got to go out and play with the snow, though I have a feeling there are plenty more days like that to come.
